Sweet Sunday Sketch 62

 

This Sunday's Sweet Sketch conjured up images of a sweet cupcake using SU's Round Tab punch (#108340), Trio Flower punch(#109183 and the FREE Sale a bration Scallop Trim Border Punch (#118402).  I was surprised how easy it was to punch a border on a very thin strip of paper.  The guides work perfectly and it punches "like butter".  I haven't seen this use yet of the Tab punch and have been so impressed with everyone's punch ideas that I was sure I could not come up with one of my own.  Hope it is a first as I am so proud of this cupcake image:) The sentiment is from Crazy for Cupcakes (#111618) and the icing was first textured in SU's Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder (#117335) on Shimmer Paper.  The DP is Cottage Wall (#115671) and Certainly Celery(#112154).

For the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #28

No week would be complete without a Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  Karen has come up with a simple and fun design.  I, on the otherhand, was not thinking simple today.  I should have listened...this took a loooong time to make;)

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #27

I am so glad I found the"The Sweetest Thing" blog!  I admire Karen Giron's artwork, sketch challenges, and blog design and she has been SOOO patient (what an understatement!  ;) while teaching me a few tricks about behind the scenes blogging.  It is amazing how much I have been able to accomplish and spruce up my blog with her help and encouragement!  Check out this post about how to add watermarks to your photos. Her directions are clear and perfect for anyone that is not computer savvy (yup...that's me!)   I asked Karen if I could recommend her to you all for designing watermarks.  She does great work and I know you will be pleased.  Let her know I sent you.

Karen has a "Sweet Sunday" Sketch Challenge on her blog and I decided to jump in.  I love this particular challenge as I find it hard for me to "think simple".  I decided to use the new SU In-colors and really like how this came out. The one thing I would have done differently? Pop up the cupcake too. Well, next time.  Head on over to try this challenge.
